Rachel McArthur

Welcome to the Matt Media ºìÐÓÖ±²¥app!

Greetings. My name is Rachel McArthur, and I am so excited about this year. I love teaching, learning, and sharing new experiences with those around me. I am a very positive person and try to inspire those around me to achieve their dreams. This is my sixth year teaching. I spent the last five years teaching fourth grade and this will be my first year as Media ºìÐÓÖ±²¥app Specialist. 

I was born in Washington State, moved to Utah during my high school years, then moved to the Great State of Georgia thirteen years ago.

Twenty-three years ago, I married my high school sweetheart, and we have four amazing kids. I have two sons (Carson 19 and Hayden 13) and two daughters (Baylee 17 and Kai 14). Our family also has two cats and a dog.

I look forward to a great year surrounded by the lessons we learn from literature!

Julie Kelley

I’m Julie Kelley and I’m a proud Forsyth County Schools retiree. I’ve worked in Forsyth County since 2005 in various capacities: kindergarten teacher, science(STEM) special teacher and media/ makerspace specialist. My husband James and I have been married 32 years with two daughters who were fortunate to attend Forsyth schools and the University of Georgia. I’m thankful for my part time position at Matt and hope to see those of you interested in volunteering working together to serve the children of our community. 

  • Talking with your kids on a regular basis about what they are reading can positively affect their performance at school and create important family bonds. We invite you and your child to look at our school media center catalog together to discuss options or create a list of books to check out.

    Forsyth County Schools’ media centers provide resources that reflect all students within each school community. If you come across a book that does not match your family’s values and/or beliefs, and you would prefer that your child does not check that book out, please discuss it with your child.

    We are always happy to help you and your child to find just the right book. This is a partnership, and we are excited to work with you!
