I am so excited to be a Mariner! This will be year 35 for me and I love teaching! Originally from the Finger Lakes region of New York, I earned my bachelors and masters degrees from SUNY Brockport. My doctoral study focused on looping and student connectedness. I have taught kindergarten, sixth grade, fourth grade, fifth grade, and graduate students. My passion is in looping with fourth and fifth grade students. In my free time, I love to hang out with my two grandblessings (one will also be a Mariner next year), ride my motorcycle, and go hiking.

Hello friends! I’m so grateful to be a part of the Mariner family this year, as a 4th grade teacher! I graduated from FAU with a BAE in K-6 and am also K-12 special education certified. I am a mom of 2 boys, Lincoln (7) & Edison (5) and a bonus mom of 3 boys, Jordan (20), Jayden (16) & Justin (13). Throughout my career, I’ve taught grades 1, 2, 4 and K-5 special ed. I’ve stayed home to raise my babies for the last five years and now Edison and I are elated to join Lincoln, and all of you, at Matt! My husband Jason and I moved our family from FL to GA, in 2019 & it was a wonderful decision. I am looking forward to an exciting and fun filled year of teaching my new babies and learning from them as well. We are ready to SAIL! 💙💚

Patricia Morgan

Welcome Aboard Everyone for another year here at Matt Elementary! My name is Patricia Morgan.

I have traveled here from the country roads of West Virginia with my husband and two of my four children, Tiffany and Wyatt. As a new teacher to Forsyth county, I am proud to say I have many experiences that I have learned from and many more to share. My learning background includes being a graduate of Western Governors University with an interdisciplinary BA and mathematics MA degrees. I have been teaching for more than a decade, given a range of settings that include public, charter, and private school systems. I love to try new and exciting things within my classroom and strive to guide and mentor student’s SAIL expectations.

I am looking forward to learning new things with the help of my students from the start of every new school year. My hope as a teacher here at Matt is to be a difference maker and offer something within my classroom that you will find in no other classroom in the building. I continue to change as a teacher, parent, and individual. We never know where our country road will take us so we should do our best along the way. Never pass by an opportunity to say ‘Thank you’ or tell someone how important they are in your life. Thank you for the opportunity! I leave you with this statement:

“Sow a thought, reap an action. Sow an action, reap a habit. Sow a habit, reap a character. Sow a character, reap a Destiny”
