Michelle Echols

Hello, my name is Michelle Echols and I have been teaching since 2000. I earned my bachelors degree in teaching from Brenau University and my masters in Educational Technology from Lesley University. I have taught 3rd, Pre-K, and Kindergarten. Kindergarten is my favorite grade to teach because I love to see children learn to read and learn to love to come to school. I have a wonderful husband, Kenny, and three sweet children. Evan, my oldest, is married with 3 kids of his own, Parker, my middle child, is beginning his senior year at Mississippi State University, and Hadley, my youngest, is in 9th grade at West Forsyth High School. I also love to garden and cook for my family and friends.

This will be my seventh year teaching and my third year in Forsyth County. I previously taught STEM, science, coding, and technology education in New York for 4.5 years. I received my bachelor’s degree in elementary and early childhood education and a master’s in STEM from Hofstra University. While teaching technology, I went back to school to get another degree in engineering! I am heading to the opposite side of the school this year to start a new endeavor in Kindergarten. I can't wait to create a fun first year experience for my students where they can learn to love school. I have two cats but no kiddos yet. I love to travel, play sports, and work out! I can’t wait to incorporate what I enjoy into an exciting learning environment for my kinder friends at Matt.
