    I have been working in Forsyth County since 2008. I have been providing speech therapy to the elementary population since 2006. Prior to that, I was in private practice for 11 years, providing speech therapy to all ages. I have a Masters in Speech and Language Pathology from Valdosta State University. I love working with children and helping them better their ability to communicate with others.

    Hi there! My name is Kaitlyn Haney, and I am over the moon to join the Poole’s Mill family this year!

    I have both a Bachelor's and a Master's degree in Communication Sciences and Disorders from the University of Georgia, as well as my Specialist in Special Education from Valdosta State University. This will be my eighth year as an SLP, and I truly believe it to be the most rewarding career. I am thankful for each and every child and family that has entered my life!

    I am originally from Cumming and graduated from West Forsyth HS in 2011. I married my husband Scott in 2019, and we welcomed our first baby girl in January 2021. I have one chihuahua named BooBoo, a golden doodle named Honey, and two cats named Clementine and Callie. I enjoy walking, hiking, and exploring new places with my family.

     melissa  Melissa Hardenbrook
    I find joy in supporting students and families along their educational and communication journeys. I have a Bachelor’s degree in Communication Sciences and Disorders from the University of Georgia, a Master’s degree in Speech and Language Pathology from the University of Memphis, and will complete my Specialist degree in December 2023. In 2005, I started my career at the Atlanta Speech School as a classroom-based SLP and then a diagnostician working with children who have language-based learning disabilities. Following a move to Boone, NC, I had the privilege of owning a small, mobile private practice for 5 years, working primarily with preschoolers with speech and language delays. Our family returned to Georgia in the summer of 2019. My husband and I have a middle school son, and a son and daughter who attend PMES. I am looking forward to starting my 4th year at Poole’s Mill!

     McGinnis  Wendy McGinnis
    I am delighted to be at Poole’s Mill Elementary for 23-24. I have a B.A. in Communications and a M.Ed. in Communication Sciences and Disorders from Georgia State University. I have worked in Forsyth County Schools since 2011. My husband and I have three adult children and an active dog. When I am not at school, I enjoy spending time kayaking, camping, writing, and reading. I love to attend minor league baseball and hockey games whenever I get the opportunity.
