Crystal Brennan I have been teaching for several years and have loved every minute of it! I have taught third grade, fourth grade, interrelated second and third grade, and specialized instruction. I love learning and working with children. I can't wait to start this journey with you and look forward to our future at Poole's Mill. 390201 CBrennan@forsyth.k12.ga.us Michelle Carney Ahoy! My name is Michelle Carney! This will be my first year as a Pirate and 13th in education. I have a B.S. in Early Childhood Education, am Special Ed. Certified, and hold a Master's Degree in Early Childhood Education from Georgia Southern University. I most recently taught Kindergarten, and prior to that, I worked with 3rd, 4th, and 5th grade students with special academic needs. I have been in Forsyth County since 1997 and love our community. My husband (of 16 years) and I have two sons in 6th and 3rd grades. I also have a bonus son (age 26) who is a former Marine! For me, the most valuable reward as a teacher is making long lasting connections with students and families. I have a B.S. in Special Education from Georgia Southwestern State University and a Master's in Moderate and Severe Handicaps from Georgia State University. I have a Bachelor's degree from Georgia Southern, a Masters from Piedmont College, and a Specialist from West Georgia - all in special education. I have been teaching special education since 2009 and I'm so excited to be a part of the Poole's Mill Family! 390482 vdalziel@forsyth.k12.ga.us Krissy Gravel My name is Krissy Gravel, and I have just completed my 27th year in specialized instruction. I believe every child deserves a caring, inspiring, and engaging atmosphere in which to grow emotionally, intellectually, and socially. In our classroom, we will celebrate diversity and differences for these are the qualities which make us unique. It is going to be a fun year full of lots of learning and new adventures. I can’t wait to see what this year has in store for us.
390212 kgravel@forsyth.k12.ga.us Marie Haley I graduated from Wheelock College in Boston, MA in 1992 with a degree in Early Childhood Education and Young Children with Special Needs. I began my teaching career in Fulton County, working in the special needs Pre-K/Kindergarten department for 16 years. I received my Master's Degree in Interrelated Special Education from the University of North Georgia in 2001. I worked in Columbia, SC for 2 years in a self-contained classroom for children with specific learning disabilities. I have spent the last 12 years in the Interrelated Special Education Department at Mashburn Elementary. I have had the privilege of working at Poole’s Mill Elementary since it opened in August 2020. 390481 mhaley@forsyth.k12.ga.us Beckie Hutka Hi! My name is Beckie Hutka and this is my 2nd year as a Poole's Mill Pirate! I am so excited to be serving special needs preschool students and their families this year. I have a B.S. in Education from Ball State University in Muncie, IN. I have taught preschool 3's and 4's, 5th grade, and served as a kindergarten instructional assistant.
We have lived in North Forsyth county for 12 years. I am married with 2 adult children and a high school sophomore. As a family, we love to play games, hang out in the backyard, and cruise to the Caribbean.

I was a Paraprofessional at Matt Elementary for the 2022-2023 school year and previously a preschool teacher for 5 years. I have a Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Georgia. I have a very personal passion for ACA - my oldest son has ASD and went through his elementary years in an ACA class in Forsyth.
My husband I have lived in Forsyth County for almost 15 years. We have 2 sons, one going into college this fall and the other a junior at FCHS. As a family we love to travel, go to sporting events, go to the movies, and enjoy time outside. I am thrilled to be at Poole's Mill and cannot wait to have so much fun this school year!

I received my Master’s degree in Integrated Curriculum with a focus of study in Special Education from American College of Education. I have been a Special Education teacher for 6 years now, having experience in kindergarten through 5th grade. I am passionate about empowering students to be their very best self within our classroom and beyond! I enjoy spending quality time with my husband, Patrick, and our 1-year-old son, Charles. I graduated from North Georgia College and State University in 2008 and earned my Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education & Special Education with a Reading Endorsement. I have been a Special Education teacher since 2009! My husband Robert and I are natives of Forsyth County Schools and live locally in the community! Our children, Robert and Anniston, are Poole’s Mill Pirates as well! We are all excited for another fantastic year at Poole’s Mill Elementary School!

I went to the University of North Georgia and I have a dual degree in Early Childhood Education and Special Education. I have been teaching in Forsyth county since 2017. I live in Forsyth County with my husband, our sons Mason and Wilder, and our two dachshunds. This is my 20th year as a special education teacher. I am a graduate of Forsyth Central and the University of North Georgia. I have degrees in both Early Childhood Education and Special Education. I enjoy spending time with my family and watching my own two children play baseball and softball.

Self-Contained, IRR, 4th grade, and 2nd grade. I taught 6th grade at a private school, and am now excited to be back in public school as a Poole's Mill Pirate! I graduated from Liberty University with a Masters of Arts in Teaching PreK-6th grade, as well as from Georgia State University with a Bachelor's in Speech Language Communications and Psychology. I have two kids with my husband, Cody, and enjoy spending as much time outdoors as possible with my family and friends. My passion is inspiring a love for learning and a belief in success.

I have lived in Forsyth my whole life and graduated from North Forsyth high school. I have a Bachelor's in Elementary and Special Education and a Master’s in Curriculum and Instruction. I also have an endorsement in Reading and an endorsement in teaching strategies for people with Dyslexia. I live here in Forsyth with my husband Jesse and our two cats, Oliver and Ana. I can’t wait to start this new adventure here at Poole’s Mill Elementary School!
390481 Kaitlin Wingard Hi! My name is Kaitlin Wingard! This is my second year teaching SBA! I started my career at Denmark High School, and now I’m here at Poole's Mill Elementary! I'm super excited to be a part of the pirate ship! I got my degree at Mississippi State University. I did all of my student teaching in elementary schools in Mississippi. I was born and raised in Cumming, Georgia and attended Forsyth County Schools. I have a huge passion for special education, and every day I’m so incredibly thankful for my career!
