Mrs. Charla Altom

I am a two-time graduate of Samford University in Birmingham, Alabama, which is my hometown.  I completed a bachelor's and a master's degree in Elementary Education. I am proud of maintaining a 4.0 in my graduate work.   I am beginning my nineteenth year of teaching.

This is my sixth year at Sharon, and I have taught in Fulton County, Gwinnett County and in Birmingham, Alabama.  Teaching at Sharon is like a dream come true.  Sharon Elementary is the most amazing place I have taught!

My husband and I have just celebrated our twenty-sixth anniversary.  We have a seventeen-year-old daughter, Carly, who is a dual enrolled student at Lambert and Kennesaw State where she is finishing her last few high school classes while taking college classes.  Our family of three lives in Johns Creek.

In my spare time, I love to read, travel, and spend time at the pool and beach.  My family is very important to me.  My husband and I enjoy eating out and exploring new restaurants. I am also an avid Auburn fan.

I want your child to experience a kind, loving and caring teacher.  I am flexible, nurturing and very approachable.  I want this to be the best year your child could dream of having.   My classroom has a “family atmosphere” and I know this is one of many reasons we all love Sharon.  This reputation led me to the school, and I could not be happier or prouder to be a part of the Sharon Family!  I cannot wait to get to know you and your child!

Mrs. Robin Curtis

Hi Knights! I am a graduate of the University of North Georgia, and I am so excited to be teaching 3rd grade at Sharon again! I earned my masters degree from Valdosta State University in 2020. I have a passion for making learning fun and challenging students to be the best version of themselves both inside and outside of school! Although I have lived in Georgia for a majority of my life, I will forever be an Auburn girl. War Eagle! My husband and I have two dogs, Moose and Gunner, that we love to take to the lake.  Outside of school, I love to bake, travel, and spend time with my family. I am looking forward to an exciting and wonderful year in 3rd grade!

Mrs. Robyn Fogarty

I am very excited to be teaching at Sharon Elementary.  This is my 27th year of teaching elementary school in Georgia and New Hampshire!  I am married to my wonderful husband, John, and have four sons; Shane 28, Zachary 27, Ryan 21, and Kyle 15.  I also have three fur babies, two dogs- Dunkin (Golden Retriever) and Chloe (Shih Tzu) and 1 cat - Little Joe. We are always busy and having fun with the family.  My favorite things to do are reading, hiking, boating, shopping, and watching my boys play sports. Our family loves cheering for the NE Patriots (and all Boston sports teams).

I grew up in Pennsylvania and received my teaching degree at California University of PA.  After college, I moved to GA, where I began my career teaching Kindergarten and first grade.  My family and I moved to NH for two years where I taught second grade, then we moved back to GA for 3 years and I taught 3rd grade.  Our family missed the seasons and beauty of New England, so we moved back to NH for 3 years and I taught a year each in first grade, second grade, and fifth grade.  Even though we absolutely love New Hampshire, we decided to move back (for good!) to be closer to family. We are excited to have made our home in Forsyth County. I am absolutely thrilled to work with you and your child to make their third-grade year a wonderful experience.

Mrs. Amy Stallings

Hi! My name is Amy Stallings and this is my second year at Sharon Elementary School teaching 3rd Grade. My family moved to the area in May of 2020 and two of my three children have attended Sharon.  Before moving to Forsyth County I was the Director of a private Preschool for six years.  I have also taught 4th, 5th, 6th, 7th, and 8th grades in Cobb County, Gwinnett County, and Alexandria, Virginia.  In total this will be my 14th year in Education.

I am a Georgia native and grew up in the East Cobb area.  My husband and I met in college at Georgia College in Milledgeville, where I earned a B.S. in Education. We moved to Washington DC where I taught 6-8th writing.  We made our way back to Georgia and I taught upper elementary in Gwinnett County before taking several years off to be a stay at home mom to my three children.

My husband and I  have been married for  20 years and have a 15 year old son (Jackson), a 13 year old daughter (Charlotte), and a 10 year old son (Garrett).  All three of my children are involved in sports and activities in the South Forsyth area, so I spend a lot of my time going to baseball games, Cheer Competitions /performances, and musical events.  Jackson is  in the 10th grade at  Lambert HS, Charlotte is in 8th  South Forsyth MS, and Garrett will continue at Sharon Elementary as a 5th grader.

In my free time I enjoy spending time with my family!  We love to get out and hike, travel, and play with our dog Duke (the cutest German Shorthaired Pointer ever).  I am looking forward to another amazing school year with a fabulous bunch of 3rd grade friends!

Mrs. Casey Wilson

Welcome to Third Grade! I am thrilled to be at the beginning of another school year! Here is a little background about me: I have wanted to be a teacher for as long as I can remember. Teaching is what I love to do and it's where my heart is. I love helping students discover a love of learning! It's amazing to see how much growth they make in a year. This school year marks my 17th year of teaching. I spent the first 6 years of my career teaching second grade in Jackson County. This year is my 11th year as a third-grade teacher at Sharon Elementary. I could not be prouder to call myself a Sharon Knight!

I am originally from upstate NY, and went to college in Boston, Massachusetts. While in Boston, I earned a bachelor's degree in Elementary Education and Human Development. After college, we moved to Georgia, and I later went on to earn a master's degree in Curriculum, Instruction, and Assessment. My husband Matt and I have three amazing kids. My stepdaughter Dianna is twenty. Our son, Matthew, is in sixth grade this year at Riverwatch. Our youngest, Shea, is here at Sharon and in third grade! We also have two dogs named Ollie and Penny. Outside of school, I love to spend time with my family, read, watch football (go Giants!), watch baseball (Go Yankees!), cook, and bake.

I cannot wait to meet my new group of third graders. I know it's going to be a fantastic year!

Mrs. Kristi Vervack

I am thrilled to be back at Sharon Elementary, and even more excited to be rejoining the amazing third grade team this year! I graduated from Florida State University in 2005 (GO NOLES!), with a Bachelor’s Degree in Elementary Education and an endorsement in art education. In 2014, I finished my Masters in curriculum and instruction with an Endorsement in ESOL, from Concordia University, Chicago.

I am originally from the beautiful city of Chicago, and lived there most of my life. While I was there I taught elementary school art for about ten years. I’ve lived in the Johns Creek/Suwanee area for the past seven years and have loved being a classroom teacher in both Forsyth and Fulton counties. I have experience in kindergarten, third grade, and fifth grade.

I have two kids, Zac (11) and Ainsley (9). We love being a part of this beautiful community and spend most of our time at baseball tournaments, cheer competitions or outside with our golden retriever, Ace. I am looking forward to getting to know a whole new group of Sharon students and their families. I’m soooooo happy to be back!
