Mr. Dewayne Jones

Hello. My name is DeWayne Jones and I have loved being a teacher for many years (I’ll just say the number begins with a 2). Since graduating from Winthrop University, in Rock Hill, SC, I have had a fulfilling career teaching 3rd, 4th, and 5th grades in both Georgia and South Carolina. My wife and I recently moved from Charleston, SC to be closer to our two daughters who are both grown AND have two children of their own (which helps explain why someone would ever leave Charleston, SC). We feel blessed to be back in Georgia and are looking forward to all the opportunities that lie ahead – including new travelling opportunities and, of course, Braves games!

My teaching philosophy reflects my Personal Mission: To make a positive difference in the life of each person I meet. Everything I do in my classroom revolves around this mission of doing whatever it takes to help my students discover and grow toward their potential. I am truly honored that the next chapter of my life will allow me to continue this mission as a Brandywine Badger.
