Ms. Veronica Beattie

My name is Veronica Beattie and I am delighted to be teaching 3rd grade at Brandywine! I am entering my 19th year of teaching. I have taught first, second, and third grades. I have been coteaching with Ms. Gann for about 14 years, and together we are thrilled to welcome our next set of Beattanns (Beattie + Gann). I have 3 kids: Olivia, Smith, and Wes. They are 21, 15, and 12! I am also a HUGE cat lover and have 6 kitties at home!

Ms. Pam Counter

My name is Pam Counter, and this will be my 24th year teaching elementary school. For the past 21 years, I have worked in Forsyth County, and I have taught both kindergarten and second grade, and next year will be my first year teaching 3rd grade! I am looping with my current 2nd grade class, and I am super excited to have this opportunity! When not teaching, I enjoy spending time with my family, which includes my husband, 5 children, and 2 grandchildren. In addition, I love to read and play pickleball!

Ms. Lyndsey Kelley

My name is Lyndsey Kelley and I am very excited to be teaching third grade for the 24-25 school year. I graduated from Edison State College in Florida and moved to Georgia in 2019. I have taught 5th, 2nd, 3rd and 4th grade. I have 3 kids, Kaleb, a Senior at West Forsyth High School, Ava, a freshman at West Forsyth High School and Charli, a third grader here at Brandywine. In my spare time you can find me at the baseball field, soccer field or tennis courts with my kids.

Ms. Kate McDearmon, DLI

My name is Kate McDearmon, and I am thrilled to be a Brandywine Badger! This is my 14th year of teaching and my sixth year at BWE. I have also taught 2nd and 4th grades. I have two kids in the DLI program at BWE: Alice (4th grade) and Miles (1st grade)! I have both a Bachelor's and Master's degree in Elementary Education from the University of Georgia. In addition, I hold ESOL certification and elementary mathematics and reading endorsements. I am passionate about teaching our DLI students to be biliterate and believe strongly in our wonderful DLI program. 3rd grade is an incredible year of learning and growth, and I feel privileged to spend it with you and your child!

My name is Amy O'Keefe, and I am excited to be back at Brandywine Elementary School teaching third grade. I received my bachelors degree in education from the University of Georgia and several years later got my masters degree from Georgia State University. After that, I earned my specialist degree in teaching and learning from Piedmont College. I have taught over thirty years in GA, FL, CA, and CT in both private and public schools. I look forward to another great year with the students and families of Brandywine!

Ms. Ana Rossi, DLI

My name is Ana Rossi and I love teaching at Brandywine Elementary ! This will be my 21th year teaching. I did my undergrad at Eastern University in Pensylvania and my Masters in Education at Reinharth University here in Georgia. My husband James and I have 3 children. I love to read and spend summers in Pennsylvania with the rest of our family.

Ms. Michelle Stuparits

Welcome to 3rd Grade! My name is Michelle Stuparits and I am excited to begin my 15th year of teaching. I have taught PreK, Kindergarten, and Third. I graduated from the University of North Georgia with a bachelor’s degree in early childhood/ special education (P-5). When I am not teaching, I enjoy traveling and dining at Atlanta restaurants. I also enjoy spending time with my family and friends. I am married to my husband, Michael. We have a pet dog and cat. We also like going to Atlanta United and Georgia Tech games. This year will be filled with fun, learning, and excitement! I am looking forward to building positive relationships with my students and having an amazing school year!
