Speech-Language Services!

  • The speech-language pathologist at Riverwatch is responsible for the assessment and treatment of communication disorders.  Students receiving speech-language services have IEP goals targeting deficits in one or more of the following areas: articulation (pronunciation of speech sounds), expressive language, receptive language, voice, fluency (stuttering), and pragmatics (social skills).  Students can be served for speech individually, in small groups, or through collaborative or consultative models.  The eligibility requirements and service models for speech-language therapy are consistent with other special education services (refer to Special Education page for detailed descriptions).
