The mission of Riverwatch Middle School’s Counseling Program is to provide all students with a comprehensive developmental school counseling program centered around a supportive environment that educates and encourages children to L.E.A.D- Learn, Exceed, Achieve, and Dream.

The Counseling Department recognizes and respects the unique qualities of each student and enhances student growth in the areas of academic, career, and personal/social development through collaboration with parents, teachers, and other stakeholders.  We meet the needs of our students through individual counseling, classroom guidance, small group counseling, and parent/teacher conferences.

I'm so excited to be joining the Panther family this year! I'm even more excited to be serving our 6th grade families and guiding them and as they start their middle school journey. I've been a school counselor for ten years and I have a passion for partnering with families to help them achieve happy and healthy lives. Outside of school, I enjoy road trips with my husband, and I adore being a mom, running around with my one-year-old daughter Ryan. I'm so looking forward to working with you and creating meaningful connections with my students at the River!

Hello, my name is Terri Hadley, and I am the seventh-grade counselor at Riverwatch. I am happy to be here working with middle school children again. Our students have wonderful opportunities to explore different talents and find out their interests. I have been in education for 35 years, and this is my 26th year as a school counselor.  I am married to Robert, and we have six adult children in a blended family. In addition, I have two grandchildren, Lilly, who is 6, and Lee, who is 4. When I am not working with children, I enjoy traveling, reading, writing, taking care of my 8 beautiful pets, and walking on the beach.

I am so excited for my 2nd year here at RMS! While I’m not a native of Georgia, I am a high school graduate from Forsyth County Schools, and I have a BFA from Kennesaw State University with a minor in Business Management. I come from a performance background and have spent my early career with the company, Walt Disney World. When I’m not at school, I enjoy teaching ballet, relaxing at home, and spending time with my dog, Pippin. I’m ecstatic that I get to work in an environment where I can use my skills and help the younger generation evolve into young adults!
