This is my 2nd year teaching! I am very excited to be teaching 3rd grade again this year! I graduated from the University of North Georgia with a Bachelor’s of Science in Elementary and Special Education. 

I am originally from Greenville, South Carolina, but moved to Alpharetta in 2010. I went to Piney Grove Middle (6th-8th grade), and South Forsyth High (9th-12th grade). I love to hike, traveling, and spending time with my family, and friends. 

I love to laugh and have a joke book from previous students that I would love to add to this year!

Hi! My name is Caity McFarland, soon to be Hadlow. I graduated from Kennesaw State University. I finished my first-year teaching in Gwinnett County this past year, where I taught 2^nd grade. I am excited to marry my Fiancé this July. We have 2 dogs named Morty and Superman. I also Have a brother who is starting middle school this fall! I am really close with my family, we love spending time at the pool and going to the park all together! I'm really excited to be joining such a great school!

Mrs. Philmon is beginning her 25th year of teaching. She received her Bachelor of Science in Education from the University of Georgia and her Master of Reading Instruction from West Georgia. She holds both Reading and ESOL endorsements and has taught preschool, kindergarten, first grade, and third grade in Gwinnett County and Forsyth County. She is excited about teaching with the third grade team again for the 2023-2024 school year. She looks forward to her eleventh year here at Brookwood. Let's ROAR, Bobcats!

I'm originally from Jacksonville, Florida. Go Jags! I taught in Florida for 9 years. I've taught every elementary grade, but 1^st grade. This is my eleventh year of teaching. This is my second year teaching in Forsyth County. I graduated from Southeastern University in Lakeland, Florida. My wife Maggie and I got married in 2022 and we live in Buford, Georgia. We love traveling, hiking in the mountains, and serving at our church. In my spare time, I love to workout, read books, play guitar, and I occasionally play golf. 

I graduated from the University of Pittsburgh with a BA in Anthropology and received my M.Ed in Early Childhood Education from Brenau University. I began my career teaching middle school on Hilton Head Island. I have taught 3rd, 4th, and 5th grade at Brookwood since 2016, and I am excited to work with the 3rd grade team again for the 2023-2024 school year.
