EOC Testing Information

EOC Testing

The Georgia Milestones Assessment System includes four end-of-course assessments that must be completed by Georgia high school students for validation of course credit and as part of their grade for the corresponding course. These tests are very important for West Forsyth students, as this data is an essential piece of determining our school’s effectiveness as well as our students’ readiness for their postsecondary pursuits.

Testing will take place the week of April 29 - May 3, with make-up tests administered the following week. The week of April 29 is not a virtual week. All WFHS students are expected to come to school and remain in school for the entirety of the scheduled school day.

Please review this parent letter from Forsyth County’s Department of Teaching and Learning for information about the value and purpose of these assessments.

Want to practice? Check out the website! Testing rosters and locations have been shared with teachers, posted in CANVAS for students to see, and posted inside the building.

The bell schedule will be as follows:

  • Monday, April 29: Even Block Day
  • Tuesday, April 30: Odd Block Day
  • Wednesday, May 1: Even Block Day
  • Thursday, May 2: Odd Block Day
  • Friday, May 3: 7-Period Day

All students will be expected to arrive to their testing room promptly at the scheduled time. Students will be notified of their testing room and testing time during the week before testing.

Testing will take place in the morning each day. Students should pay close attention to the assignment provided by their teacher and posted on the website to ensure they report to the correct testing location. Students will not be allowed to change their test assignments.

Due to the logistical burdens of testing, students’ classes may be held in different rooms or be taught by different teachers during the week of Milestones EOC testing. Students should pay close attention to their teachers’ instructions and Canvas pages to ensure they attend all classes and avoid any confusion during the week of testing.

Transportation & Lunch

Transportation will run as usual during the week of Milestones EOC tests. It is imperative that all students arrive to school on time, especially when they have scheduled tests.

Students will have access to lunch in the cafeteria. The lunch schedule will remain the same as normal. Students with accommodates who may not be released from their testing sessions in time for their usual lunch period will be allowed to grab lunch upon test completion. All students will have the opportunity to eat lunch.

Students should bring two number two pencils each day of testing.

Students may bring bookbags and phones, but these items will be left in the hallway during testing and will not be allowed in the testing room. No electronics will be permitted in the secure testing environment.

There is no need to bring a calculator to testing. Calculators will be provided, and all students will have access to the calculator that is built into the Algebra test.
