The Good Morning Mashburn News Team comprises 5th-grade students who have demonstrated responsibility and cooperative behavior in the classroom. Students must complete an application and write an essay in the spring of 4th grade to be considered for Good Morning Mashburn. Students applying for the position of news anchor must audition and be evaluated for appropriate reading fluency, pronunciation, expression, and volume. News Team positions include News Anchor, Prompter, Director, Sound Technician, Mixer, and Graphics Technician.
