Mrs. Leisa Forman
Mrs. Forman holds a bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education from Valdosta State University. She previously taught 14 years in kindergarten before staying home with her children. Prior to Forsyth, Mrs. Forman taught in Ware County, Henry County and Gwinnett County. She began her journey back into the classroom by volunteering, being a long-term substitute in 3rd and 5th grades and working as an instructional assistant. This will be Mrs. Forman’s fourth year teaching first grade at Johns Creek Elementary.

Mrs. Penny La Rocca
Mrs. La Rocca holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Early Childhood Education and a Master’s Degree in Mathematics. She has also earned the Gifted and Teacher Leadership Endorsement. Mrs. La Rocca has been nominated for Teacher of the Year three times and earned the title in the 2018-19 school year. She has been a member of the JCE family for ten years and is looking forward to another successful year.

Ms. Olivia Dingle
Ms. Dingle holds both a masters and bachelors degree in Elementary Education from the University of Georgia, as well as an ESOL endorsement. She holds a minor in Spanish as well. This will be her first year here at JCE. She is looking forward to a great year!

Mrs. Joan Kim
Ms. Kim holds a bachelor’s degree in Economics and Sociology from Rutgers University. She has also earned her Masters of Arts in Elementary Teaching. Ms. Kim recently relocated to Georgia from New Jersey in 2021, where she was a teacher for eight years, in first and second grade. She holds a Pre-School through Grade 6 teaching certification and is also certified in Orton-Gillingham, Level 1. Ms. Kim is excited to join the first grade team and Johns Creek Elementary School family.

Ms. Angie Cotterill
Mrs. Cotterill holds a bachelor's degree in Elementary Education from Fort Hays State University and has six years of elementary teaching experience in Kansas. She holds a Master of Arts in Special Education with a concentration in Applied Behavior Analysis and is a licenced Registered Behavior Technician. Mrs. Cotterill returned to her home state of Georgia in 2022 and worked with the autism population doing in-home and clinical therapy before joining the Johns Creek Elementary family in 2023. She is eager to bring her new skills and experiences with her as she returns to the classroom and her passion for teaching!

Ms. Tina Tims
Ms. Tims holds a Specialist degree in Curriculum and Instruction. She received her Masters in Early Childhood Education from Piedmont College and her undergraduate from Shorter University. She has also earned her Gifted Endorsement. Ms. Tims has taught 12 years in grades PreK, Kindergarten, first and fifth. She is excited to join the JCE team and is looking forward to encouraging her little team of Jaguars in the classroom.
