• NFHS Counseling Department Vision & Mission Statement

The students at North Forsyth High School are inspired learners who use their gifts to affect those around them to make a difference in their school, community, and world.  All students will participate in a rigorous curriculum that prepares them to be college and career ready and meet their personal potential.  Support from the comprehensive school counseling program will enable students to meet the challenges of the future while fostering a healthy school climate that values diversity, knowledge, and achievement.

The mission of the North Forsyth School counseling program is to enhance educational performance by providing all students with access to a comprehensive school counseling program that advocates for the academic, career, and social/emotional mindsets necessary to become college and career ready and experience lifelong success.  Professional School Counselors will collaborate with teachers, administrators, parents, and the community to ensure the academic and personal potential for all students is achieved.

    ASCA & RAMP

The North Forsyth High School Counseling Department proudly ascribes to the guidelines set forth by the American School Counselor Association (ASCA) in order to create and implement a comprehensive school counseling program. ASCA awards exemplary counseling programs with the RAMP (Recognized ASCA Model Program) distinction.

NFHS has the unique honor of receiving the RAMP award twice, first in 2014 and again in 2017. In order to be eligible to receive the RAMP award, our counseling team collects data on various aspects of our counseling program. The data we collect and analyze is crucial, so we can continue to serve the NFHS population to the best of our abilities. We embrace a growth mindset and look forward to continuing to improve. Thank you for being a vital part of our RAMP designation as a student, parent, staff member, or Forsyth county community member!
