Congratulations! Tracey Winkler Named FCHS Principal

We are excited to announce that Ms. Tracey Winkler, currently serving as Assistant Principal at Denmark High School, has been approved by the Board of Education as the new Principal of Forsyth Central High School. Ms. Winkler brings a wealth of experience to her new role, having joined Forsyth County Schools in 2005 after relocating from Tallahassee, Florida. She began her tenure as a school counselor at South Forsyth and West Forsyth high schools, later transitioning to the role of Assistant Principal at North Forsyth High School in 2015. From 2021 to 2022, Ms. Winkler held the position of Assistant Director of CTAE at the central office before returning to the school level as an Assistant Principal at Denmark High School. Ms. Winkler holds a Bachelor of Science in Leisure Services and Studies, a Master of Science, and an Ed.S. in Counseling and Human Services from Florida State University. Additionally, she in bilingual and possesses a State of Georgia Educational Leadership Certificate P-12 from the University of Georgia. Ms. Winkler is the first female to serve as principal at Forsyth Central High School, which was originally named Forsyth County High School, and opened in 1955.
